Product Review: Tarte Light of the Party (Holidaze 2015)
Ah, the holidays. I, like just about everyone else, absolutely love this time of year for many reasons. Getting together with family and friends, catching up and creating new memories is one of my favourite parts of the holiday season. As a born and raised Canadian I guess I have to say snow, although when it turns into slush it ruins my shoes, gets all over my clothes (#clumsy) and just…no. With my outrageous appetite, overloading on an unnecessary amount of delicious turkey, Christmas cookies and everything in between is an absolute must as well. So many reasons to be happy, thankful and enjoy the holiday season.
And of course…
I recently received Tarte’s Holidaze Light of the Party Palette and I must say, it is genius. Genius packaging, genius branding, genius product formulation – everything is beautiful!
- 24 Amazonian Clay Eyeshadows
- Deluxe Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara
- Double-ended eyeshadow brush
- Takeaway Palette
- 6 Amazonian clay eyeshadows
- Amazonian Clay Bronzer
- Amazonian Clay Blush
- Amazonian Clay Highlighter
I would have to say my favourite part about the entire collection is the takeaway palette, providing convenience for quick touch ups when on the go. With 6 eyeshadows, bronzer/blush duo and a dope highlighter, this is a super convenient palette I can shove in my purse whenever I’m leaving the house. Fav of the palette: definitely has to be the “Pink Champagne” highlight, giving the perfect glow to my cheeks, nose & cupids bow.
Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara
I’ve been testing this out for the past week and it’s not too shabby I must say. The mascara comes in a convenient size, beautiful packaging and great formulation. I’ve been using it in combination with Benefit’s RollerLash mascara and the combination gives me full, long lashes which are perfect for days I don’t feel like wearing falsies. Would definitely consider purchasing the full size for suresies.
Sooooooo … one of my new goals is to work on my swatch capabilities because clearly it needs some work (at one point, I thought of smearing eyeshadow primer all over my arm) but here are some of my favourites from the palette! I had to pick up the product about 3-4 times for it to show, but they are definitely workable and provide decent pigmentation.
