NEW Favourite Primer – Hourglass Cosmetics Mineral Veil Primer
Is 3 weeks to soon to fall in love?[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Maybe 3 weeks is just the right time. And I’m not talking about a boyfriend at all … my non-existent love life speaks for itself. Gah, straying away from the actual purpose of this post.
I’ve been splurging on different makeup products recently and for some reason believe I have a money tree growing in my backyard solely dedicated to high-end makeup products. I walked into Sephora one day, the week before one of my cousins was about to get married and of course, stepped into a little bit of heaven.
First and foremost, I needed some Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Need is a strong word, but let’s go with that. They didn’t have my shade, but I had part of a gift card to spend at this particular Sephora so I thought why not try something new. Then I saw it. The one aisle of Sephora I always walk to, swatch, and walk away. Not this time!
Since I have incredibly oily skin, finding a good primer is key in my makeup routine. That’s when I remembered this sample I had tried from Hourglass Cosmetics – the Mineral Veil Primer. As soon as I pushed a pump out on my hand this time, I could feel the silky, luxurious primer I had remembered from the sample. Without a doubt, this was the product I was going to buy and since that day, I haven’t been reaching for another primer.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1456″ img_size=”250×250″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A good primer is the key to any makeup routine – not only will it help keep your makeup in place all day, but it will also control the natural oils in your face, which for me is necessary.
This primer mattifies my skin without leaving it feeling dry and neutralizes the base of my skin so any makeup I place on top of it will hold throughout the day. It’s mineral-based, water-resistant and also reduces the appearance of pores – for me this was especially important to look for in a primer as this is an area of concern for me around my T-Zone area.
Overall rating – 5 stars. Highly recommend, especially if you have oily skin. The price may be a deterring factor, but I can guarantee it’s worth every dollar. Now someone take my credit card away because I may just buy another bottle for no reason.[/vc_column_text]
